The CWSC joined several organizations on April 24th at Enchantment Park in Leavenworth to celebrate Earth Day! The event was organized by Waste Loop and attendance was amazing for the first year! The CWSC shared information on fuels reduction and forest health with the public and provided an educational word search for kids as they traversed through a scavenger hunt at each vendor’s booth.
The CWSC also gathered names for landowners and public interested in other types of fuel reduction treatments such as biochar and prescribed burning. This information will be gathered to inform funders for potential new projects. Thank you to everyone who contributed their opinions and requests for additional fuels reduction in our area.
