His extensive experience includes working as a firefighter, paramedic, truck captain, and ultimately retiring as an Assistant Chief in 2023.

Sean’s deep involvement in critical incidents, such as the Oroville Dam Spillway Emergency, the Bear Fire, the Camp Fire, and the Dixie Fire, has equipped him with invaluable insights into wildfire management and emergency response strategies. His presentation, titled “Paradise – Lessons Learned,” will draw from his firsthand experiences as a division supervisor during the devastating 2018 Camp Fire in Butte County. Sean was at the forefront, managing the initial response and leading the subsequent search and recovery efforts in the aftermath.
