Monitoring

CWSC utilizes volunteers to monitor the United State Forest Service Chumstick Hazardous Fuels Reduction Project.  CWSC inventories forest management units before and after the implementation of a fuel reduction activity, such as thinning or prescribed burning.  This information is distributed to the USFS Wenatchee River Ranger District and other partners who use the results to evaluate effectiveness of the treatment and to make decisions for future stand management.

Volunteer Opportunities

  • Development of monitoring protocols
